    Kristin Rakowski is a litigator who focuses her practice on white collar defense, investigations and corporate compliance. She has represented clients in government investigations and proceedings, civil litigation and appellate matters. Ms. Rakowski has significant experience with internal investigations and compliance reviews, both in the United States and abroad, involving issues such as potential fraud, theft of intellectual property, regulatory compliance and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. In addition, she has assisted large corporate clients in developing corporate compliance policies and training materials. Ms. Rakowski has been recognized by the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois for Excellence in Pro Bono Service as a member of the firm team that reduced a significant default judgment to just $3 in nominal damages. As part of her pro bono practice, she has also represented clients before the Cook County Domestic Violence Court and the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services. Ms. Rakowski has published on topics including white collar issues and appellate procedure and has taught Appellate Advocacy at Loyola University Chicago School of Law. Before joining the firm, she served as a staff law clerk for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and clerked for Judge David H. Coar of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
